法制晚报讯(记者 董振杰 蒋桂佳)昨天下午2时50分，在通州区新华大街和新华北路交叉口东北角的一在建工地发生脚手架倾斜事故，5人从6层楼高处坠下，当场身亡。目前，警方正在对此事进行调查。
“几个人掉下来，当场就没救了。”昨天下午4时30分，记者赶到一名叫京杭府的楼盘施工现场，多名警察、消防、急救和通州区政府工作人员及相关领导均已经赶到。警方对现场进行了封锁。
记者看到，原本在三楼位置的脚手架下方护网被砸穿了一个大洞，出事的工人坠落在工地内紧挨着墙的一个两三米深的坑中。
“下午3点左右，正在干活呢，就听到有人说这里出事了。”一名在现场的工人说，他听见工友说，因为脚手架倾斜散架，有5个干活的工人从6层楼高的脚手架上坠下。
据这名工人介绍，在这栋楼施工的工人大都是四川籍，新春将至，这几个人客死他乡，估计家人连年都过不好。
通州区委发布的消息称，2014年1月7日14时50分左右，位于通州区新华大街北侧京杭广场项目1#6层卸料平台发生倾斜，造成5名工人从高处坠落，已被迅速送往医院救治。截至21时许，5人经抢救无效死亡。
目前，已责令京杭广场项目停工整顿，全面安排施工安全检查。事故原因正在调查处理中。
