据中国外交部网站消息，1月7日上午，中国新任驻法国大使翟隽在中国大使馆会见了法国外交部礼宾司司长斯特法尼尼，并向对方递交了国书副本。
斯特法尼尼代表法国政府欢迎翟隽到任，相信翟隽大使任内两国关系将取得新的发展。翟隽感谢法方对其到任给予的友好接待，表示很荣幸在中法建交50周年这一重要时刻出任中国驻法国大使，期待着同法方各界人士建立友谊，共同推动中法全面战略伙伴关系迈向更高水平。
翟隽于1月6日抵达巴黎，是新中国第十一任驻法国大使。
官方资料显示，翟隽毕业于北京外国语大学阿拉伯语系，进入外交部后，先后几次前往也门、沙特、利比亚等西亚北非地区的中国使馆任职。自2009年起担任主管西亚北非和非洲地区事务及新闻工作的副部长。
翟隽将在向法国总统奥朗德递交国书后正式开始大使工作。鉴于2014年中法两国将热烈庆祝建交50周年活动，领导人将互访频繁，1月底还将在巴黎大皇宫举行隆重的纪念活动。预计翟隽大使递交国书的时间将会有所提前。
