觉得当官吃亏开始收钱
“乡镇党委书记虽说只是科级干部，但却管理着十几万干部群众……镇里的所有事务都是我一人说了算，大家迎合我、奉承我、讨好我，在一片恭维声中，我的价值观开始慢慢发生偏离……”陆洪来在忏悔书中说，当看到自己帮助过的一些企业快速成长，老板富了起来，他就有了当官吃亏的思想。渐渐地，他把钱看得重了，从拒绝、犹豫到笑纳老板们借逢年过节等机会送的钱和物。
2006年5月，从平东镇经过的新204国道要改道建设，沿线一家企业需拆迁部分厂区。企业负责人丁某趁机向陆洪来提出置换新204国道旁一块约23亩土地，一开始他不同意，并退回了丁某送的10万元。不过，最后他还是同意了，并且笑纳了丁某再次塞来的三沓钞票。从此之后，陆洪来开始收钱收得心安理得，再也没有了最初的畏首畏尾。
