内容虽简短，但这却可以看作是魅族正式公开了与Ubuntu两者之间的关系，告别了暧昧，地下情终于变成赤裸裸的热恋了。
作为国产手机品牌中的佼佼者，魅族的一举一动向来也是备受关注。而此次拥抱Ubuntu当然也不可例外的引发了各方的热烈讨论，煤油们也都欢欣鼓舞，在其官方微博之下，煤油们都对新系统的智能手机表达了期待之情，更有@Flyme “争风吃醋”的卖萌。关于此次结盟Ubuntu，有魅族员工认为这是应对风险的明智之举，因为押宝在一个OS上面风险太大。而这种观点，我们似乎也可以从其他一些厂商的态度上看到。例如，OPPO与CM展开了合作（虽然CM仍然是基于Android的，但这仍是一种尝试），小米最近也风传正在开发自己的miOS等。
