United States State Department spokesman, said on Thursday that Chinese in new fishery restrictions imposed by a disputed South China Sea, is provocative and potentially dangerous behavior.

Pusaji said that China claims sovereignty over this broad area, but did not make any statement or on the basis of international law. Hainan Province in November last year through a new approach to Fisheries Act, shall come into force on January 1 this year, requiring foreign fishing vessels to get permission to enter the waters under operation in Hainan Province. 美国国务院发言人普萨基在新闻简报会上表示，针对其他国家在南海有争议区域的渔业活动而通过这些限制，是挑衅并可能造成危险的行为。普萨基表示，中国宣称拥有这广泛海域的主权，但并未提出任何说明或国际法上的根据。海南省去年11月通过新的渔业法办法，自今年1月1号生效，规定外国渔船必须获得许可才能进入海南省所辖海域作业。来源：凤凰卫视
