云南网讯(记者 杨之辉 彭锡) 1月15日上午8时40分许，昆明市禄劝县马鹿塘乡上龙厂村处发生1起交通事故，导致12人死亡(当场死亡11人，1人受重伤经抢救无效死亡)。
事故发生后，省委书记秦光荣、省长李纪恒第一时间批示要求，昆明市和各级各有关部门做好现场处置和死亡人员善后工作，做好家属安抚等工作，切实维护社会稳定；要及时查清事故原因，依法依规处置，抓紧责任调查。春运高峰临近，要认真总结事故原因和教训，加强道路交通安全措施，确保人民群众出行安全。要举一反三，进一步落实责任，加强监督检查，做好安全生产的各项工作。相关省、市领导也做出要求。
受省委、省政府领导委托，省政府副秘书长杨斌带领省、市工作组迅速赶赴查看事故现场，看望群众，与市、县、村组干部群众座谈，对现场处置提出了明确要求。随后，又立即在马鹿塘乡政府召开会议，对事故应急处置、事故原因调查、善后工作、隐患排查等工作进行了全面安排部署。
经现场勘查初步查明：2014年1月15日，禄劝县马鹿塘乡新槽村委会村民王加祥(男，36岁)驾驶云AT816U号自用微型面包车，送尹德荣等11人(7女5男，其中10名成年人，2名未成年人)从新槽村前往上龙厂村探亲。当日上午8时40分许，王加祥驾车行驶至上龙厂村附近路段右转弯时，车辆因路面结冰侧滑坠入80余米的山箐，造成驾乘人员王加祥、尹德荣等11人现场死亡，1人经抢救无效死亡，车辆损毁的重大交通事故。
目前，昆明市和禄劝县迅速组织工作人员“一对一”对死亡人员家属进行心理安抚、救济救助，全力做好善后等工作。
截止记者发稿时，事故原因正在调查中。
