IFI Claims Patent Services based on patent data provider data, IBM for 21 consecutive years, received United States patent number the most in. However, Google patent acquisition is also accelerating the pace of 2013 rankings climb to 11th place.
According to IFI Claims Patent Services, IBM last year amounted to obtained 6,809 United States patents, 6,478 5% increase compared with last year.
Ranking second is Samsung Electronics, 2013-the company obtained 4,675 United States patents. Canon to 3,825 in third, followed by Sony (3,098), Microsoft (2,660), Panasonic (2,601), Toshiba (2,416), Hon Hai (2,279), Qualcomm (2,103) and LG Electronics (1947).
Last year Google received United States patent number 60%, at 1851, ranking rose from 21st of 2012 to 2013, in 11th place. IFI ranking top 50 place Google in 2012 for the first time, when the patent number 1151.
Apple in 2013, received United States patent number 1775, the 13th ranked far above the 2011.

思科2013年获得的专利数出现下滑，仅为885项，较2012年的951项减少7%，排名也从第31位下滑到第40位。阿尔卡特-朗讯则跌出前50，从2012年的第49位降至2013年的第54位。
英特尔也跻身前50，以1455项专利位居第18位。惠普位列第19位，2013年获得1360项美国专利。黑莓仅次于惠普，位列第20位，成为跻身前50的唯一一家加拿大公司。黑莓2013年的美国专利数为1334项，较2012年上升9位。
