北京市公安交管局负责人说，近期有不少群众通过微博、微信、“122”报警服务电话、信函等多种途径反映，道路上不悬挂号牌、故意遮挡或污损号牌的车辆增多。这些车辆有的违反规定占用公交车道、应急车道，有的在不允许停车的地方停车，影响交通秩序和社会治安秩序。
针对这种情况，北京交管部门从即日起启动专项整治行动，重点整治下列三类违法行为：未悬挂机动车号牌，故意遮挡机动车号牌，不按规定安装使用机动车号牌(含仅悬挂一面号牌)，机动车号牌不清晰、不完整，污损机动车号牌；使用伪造、变造机动车号牌或者使用其他车辆号牌；无证驾驶或者使用假证、拼组装和报废机动车上路等。
北京交管部门将联合治安、巡警等部门，加强夜间查缉力度，同时加强视频巡检力度、提高电子监控设备的识别能力，实现自动比对、自动报警。
北京交管部门表示，对监控系统发现的和群众反映举报的交通违法行为将第一时间组织警力布控查缉，对于发现的涉牌违法车辆，将一律高限处罚，其信息同时将被录入“黑名单”库。
此外，交管部门还将定期分析重复补牌、套牌高发号段等特定车辆，并重点进行查缉。
