荆楚网消息(记者 张扬) 1月19日上午，湖北省第十二届人民代表大会第二次会议，听取省人民检察院工作报告。
报告称，省检察院去年共立案侦查各类职务犯罪2374人，其中贪污贿赂犯罪1826人，渎职侵权犯罪548人。办理贪污、受贿、挪用公款百万元以上和重特大渎职侵权案件389件，县处级以上干部职务犯罪要案173人，其中厅局级干部15人。
一年来，全省检察机关“发挥检察职能、优化发展环境”，起诉传销、非法经营、金融诈骗等破坏市场经济秩序犯罪嫌疑人2353人，查办涉及国家工作人员的商业贿赂犯罪688人。
报告显示，去年全省检察机关共批准逮捕刑事犯罪嫌疑人30797人，提起公诉42896人。起诉爆炸、故意杀人、绑架、抢劫、强奸等严重暴力犯罪嫌疑人3210人。对轻微犯罪依法落实从宽政策，决定不批捕3440人、不起诉1526人。
湖北省人民检察院检察长敬大力作报告时表示，今年全省检察院将严肃查办发生在群众身边的腐败犯罪，深化职务犯罪预防，强化对权力运行的制约和监督。同时，还将严肃查处执法司法领域腐败犯罪。加强诉讼违法预防，促进完善司法权力运行机制。
