曾在柳州打工半年多的林峰，一度被公司拖欠两万多元工资。去年11月20日，彭清华书记到田阳县调研农民工工作时，林峰向他反映了自己的困扰。彭清华书记听取情况后说，农民工辛苦一年，挣点养家糊口的钱还拿不到手，政府要为他们主持公道。他当即请自治区人力资源和社会保障厅与柳州市有关方面积极协调，帮助解决问题。10多天后，原公司把拖欠工资送到了林峰家中。
最近，林峰怀着喜悦的心情给彭清华书记写信，报告了这一好消息：“我们广大农民工深深地感受到了党委的亲切关怀。你们把农民工当亲兄弟，也更加坚定了我们安心打工、努力创业，创造美好生活的希望和信心”，“相信有党和政府的好政策，我们的生活一定会越来越好”。
林峰的“喜事”并非个例。目前，我区各级各有关部门正加大工作力度，为农民工排忧解难，切实维护农民工的合法权益。据自治区人社厅介绍，去年广西共处理欠薪群体性事件595起，追发农民工工资6.25亿元，涉及农民工7.68万人。
对农民工一直牵挂于心的彭清华，在完成对田阳县的深入调研后撰写了《田阳县农民工调查》。他深情地写道：多年来，一代又一代农民工为我们国家的现代化建设作出了巨大贡献，也付出了巨大牺牲，理应得到全社会的重视、关注和帮助。
在本月20日举行的全区领导干部大会上，彭清华再一次叮嘱各级领导干部，要利用农民工返乡过年的机会，与他们多交朋友多交心，帮助解决工资拖欠、老人照顾、孩子上学等实际问题，设身处地为他们着想，多做雪中送炭的事情，把党和政府的关怀和温暖送到千家万户。
