京华时报讯 (记者张晓鸽)去年底，因为招生就业处原处长蔡荣生被查，中国人民大学陷入舆论风波。近日，人大首次推行本科生招生社会监督员制度。监督员任期2年，有权听取学校本科生招生工作情况汇报，随时抽查学校本科招生工作执行情况，并巡视学校特殊类型考试或网上录取现场。报名截止时间为2014年2月16日。
人大方面表示，此举意在完善本科招生的监督机制，希望从基础教育、教育研究、新闻媒体、法律界、企业界等行业领域征选社会监督员，其身份则是“具有相当公信力和社会影响力的知名人士”，关心本科招生工作的学生家长，以及“其他普通群众”。
据了解，社会监督员主要有四项职责，包括听取学校本科生招生工作情况汇报，随时抽查学校本科招生工作执行情况；针对群众反映的问题要求学校有关部门做出答复；旁听人大本科招生工作有关会议；巡视特殊类型考试或网上录取现场。
每期社会监督员10人，任期两年，公开向社会征选，或由学校本科生招生工作委员会推荐产生。有意者可登录人大官网下载报名表报名。社会监督委员会独立工作，不受学校职能部门约束。

人大招生处原处长去年落马
此前，中央第十巡视组在人民大学巡视后认为其自主招生“存在薄弱环节”，去年11月人大表示，其招生就业处原处长蔡荣生涉嫌违法违纪正在接受组织调查，虽然涉案原因尚未公布，但不少人分析与其在自主招生方面的贪腐有关。
去年年底，人大向教育部提出申请，宣布2014年自主招生工作暂缓一年，以更好地规范和改进本科招生工作，同时承诺将按照阳光招生的方向，积极推进招生方式的改革，确保招生工作的公平公正。
