昨日，西安市公安局雁塔分局消息称，女童死因现在还不能确定。办案人员在现场发现，女童家中有食物，而7岁女童已经具有一定的行为能力，因此，饿死一说存有疑问。该死因系村民猜测，警方并未对此确认。
雁塔分局政工科工作人员称，据其所知，女童身上没有发现外伤，不排除突发急病致死的可能。但该工作人员称，因其并非一线办案人员，掌握的情况或与最新情况有所出入，女童遭到伤害致死的可能性也存在。
目前，该案由雁塔分局的刑警负责侦查，因调查未结束，公安方面表示现在并不适合公布案情，待调查结束，或会向公众发布结果。
目前，法医已经对女童进行了尸检，结果还未出炉。女童死因的确定还需等待尸检报告的完成。
警方：其母不适合住看守所
东曲江池村不愿透露姓名的邻居称，报警的是女童的外公，当天其外公外婆到村委会代替王某及其女儿领取安置补偿款，他们在送钱给王某时，发现外孙女已经于家中死亡。

村民：母女与邻居少有来往

王香利称，王某的父母同住在东曲江池村，她曾向王某母亲提起挨骂的事，王某母亲告诉她，不要计较，她脑子有病。
王某并不允许女儿上学，王香利称，王某的母亲曾提议由自己负责外孙女上学的费用，让王某送女儿上学。但王某只是让母亲不要管。王某的父母无奈，只是日常给女儿及外孙女送些饭。
有邻居称，王某有时会带着女儿出来逛逛，给女儿买些吃的。每逢出现在小区里，这对母女并不理别人，互相之间也无话，只是母女的手紧紧牵在一起。
