　　经查，被告人周建华在任中共南昌市西湖区区委书记，东湖区区委书记，南昌市委常委、秘书长、宣传部部长、政法委书记，中共新余市委副书记、新余市人大党组书记、人大主任等职期间，利用职务之便，为他人谋取利益，先后99次非法收受和索取他人人民币1023.3114万元，美元1.2万元、港币15万元、金条三根(各重50克)以及价值人民币23.58万元的财物。

　　宜春中院一审以受贿罪判处周建华死刑，缓期两年执行，剥夺政治权利终身，并处没收个人全部财产；同时追缴其犯罪所得赃款赃物，上缴国库。目前，该案正在江西省法院二审审理之中。

　　周建华，1955年7月出生，曾任南昌市西湖区委副书记、区长、区委书记，南昌市东湖区区委书记，南昌市委常委、市委秘书长、宣传部部长、政法委书记，2004年调任新余市委副书记，2011年9月当选新余市人大常委会主任。
