去年11月业界曾有消息称，为了实现业务多样化目标，鸿海精密仪器已经在中国台湾市场加紧招聘人才，以此为拓展电子商务和4G移动服务做准备。鸿海精密仪器当时宣称，公司计划招聘1000多名销售人员、工程师和营销人员，来帮助推广其新移动服务。据称，鸿海精密仪器可能将于2015年下半年推出新移动服务。为此，鸿海精密仪器还宣称，该公司已经在台湾地区建立了600多座基站。
