近日，安徽省蚌埠市公安机关经缜密侦查，调集百余名警力突击行动，一举打掉该市蚌山区一山坡上自建民房内的流动赌场，抓获涉赌人员90名，依法刑事拘留24人。湖北省襄阳市公安机关根据群众举报，打掉一废弃制箱厂内的“牌九”、“赌博机”赌博窝点，抓获涉赌人员60余人，收缴管制刀具14把。内蒙古自治区通辽市公安机关打掉一个“牌九”地下赌场，抓获涉赌人员52人，查扣车辆22台。浙江省嘉兴市公安机关根据侦控线索，打掉了王店镇建林村以“筒子二八杠”形式聚赌的地下赌场，抓获涉赌人员40余人。辽宁、福建、广西等地公安机关还先后打掉一批利用“牌九”、“赌博机”及“六合彩”等聚众赌博团伙。

记者了解到，受经济、社会、文化等诸多因素的交织作用，目前各地赌博犯罪活动仍屡打不绝、屡禁不止，一些赌博犯罪还呈现出组织化、职业化特征。一是组织实施跨境及网络赌博，周边国家赌场视我为巨大市场，或在我境内设立办事处、或开通视频网络专区，国际赌博网站也在国内大肆发展代理、招募会员，组织中国公民出境及参与网络赌博。二是组织实施“六合彩”赌博，因其辐射面广、量大，且涉案人数众多，在部分地区有发展之势，易引发诸多社会问题。三是利用赌博游戏机开设赌场，虽经深度打击赌博机研发、生产源头已得到初步遏制，但由于成瘾性强，容易反弹，犯罪团伙多点分散投放赌博机开设赌场。四是利用具有地方特征的传统方式聚众赌博，在一些城郊及农村地区专门开设流动赌场，召集周边无业人员和前科人员进行聚赌。五是一些休闲度假场所打着文化娱乐的幌子，以“德州扑克”等游戏为名，用现金投入赢取高额消费积分，进行变相聚众赌博。
