广西卫生部门通报称，2014年1月28日，贺州市报告1例严重急性呼吸道感染病例，29日，经自治区疾病预防控制中心和中国疾病预防控制中心检测和复核，标本结果均为Ｈ7Ｎ9核酸阳性。自治区卫生厅专家组根据患者流行病学史、临床表现和实验室检测结果，判定为人感染Ｈ7Ｎ9禽流感病例，这是广西确诊首例人感染Ｈ7Ｎ9禽流感病例。
通报称，患者苏某某，女，56岁，农民，住贺州市八步区灵峰镇。患者发热、咳嗽6天、气促加重1天，先后在两家私人诊所就诊，无改善后，27日前往灵峰卫生院就诊，该院医生考虑患者病情严重立即将其转至贺州市人民医院诊治。
目前，患者在贺州市人民医院ＩＣＵ抢救，病情危重。自治区医疗专家组正在组织全力抢救。经流行病学调查，患者发病前有活禽暴露史。该病例的19名密切接触者已及时采取医学观察措施，目前尚未发现异常。
