Beijing new year’s Eve Fireworks debris 41.6 tonnes less than last year 1.5 tonnes

This reporter learned that, during the process of cleaning concentrate discharge area, large fireworks residue, sanitation group operations personnel manually collecting, handling, and other low-carbon for cleaning smaller debris, road vehicles patrol cleaning, then sweeping out of fireworks debris to the designated locations, centralized transit, sorting process.

To prevent fire accidents occurred during a fireworks display and wind blown debris pollutes the environment, sanitation groups for key facilities around the humidifier operation, and to set up a professional emergency water supply operations team, is in the standby state. Appropriate measures and workers in the new year's Eve Fireworks debris, garbage cleaning and no accidents occurred during processing at the same time, wet operations around key facilities as well as important links no fire occurred.

　　晨报讯(记者 王萍)记者昨天从市环卫集团获悉，从除夕夜到大年初一清晨8点30分，环卫集团出动257部作业车辆790车次、250余名环卫工人，共清运烟花爆竹残屑41.57吨，与2013年同期清理的43.04吨相比，略有减少。　　据环卫集团相关负责人介绍，今年除夕夜烟花爆竹残屑减少，主要是烟花爆竹销售点减少，市民积极响应政府倡议，不燃放、少燃放爆竹，文明燃放烟花爆竹，以及选择电子爆竹、喜庆音乐等低碳环保的方式，在享受烟花爆竹带来的喜悦时，尽量减少残留物质对环境的污染。

　　记者了解到，在清扫集中燃放区域的过程中，对于体积较大的烟花爆竹残留物，环卫集团作业人员采取人工捡拾、搬运等低碳方式清理；对于体积较小的碎屑，进行道路作业车辆巡回清扫，随后对清扫出的烟花爆竹皮残屑运到指定地点，进行集中中转、分选处理。

　　为防止烟花爆竹燃放过程中的火灾事故发生以及残屑被风吹散污染环境，环卫集团对重点设施周边进行增湿作业，并成立了专业应急供水作业队伍，处于随时待命状态。因为措施得当，除夕夜作业人员在对烟花爆竹残屑等垃圾的清扫和处理过程中没有发生一起安全事故；同时，在进行过湿化作业的重点设施周边以及重要路段未发生火情。
