据统计，广东省自2013年8月惠州报告首例病例以来，截至2014年1月30日，广东省共报告37例病例，治愈出院12例，死亡6例(分别住在东莞、阳江、广州、江门和梅州)。按患者居住地统计，病例分布在广州5例、深圳13例、佛山8例、惠州2例、东莞3例、阳江3例、梅州1例、江门2例。
省卫计委提醒
如接触过活禽且有流感症状，尽量早用达菲
省卫计委表示，人感染H 7N 9禽流感临床特点有三方面：一是起病急、早期出现发热，体温38.6-40℃，咳嗽(大部分少痰)。可伴有头痛、肌肉酸痛和全身不适；二是发病后5-7天出现呼吸困难和重症肺炎、进行性加重，加速进展出现急性呼吸窘迫综合征；三是白细胞计数正常或降低，淋巴细胞匪类计数减少，影像学呈现出双肺实变和毛玻璃样改变。
预防H7N9，市民要保持勤洗手、室内勤通风换气、注意营养，保持充足的睡眠和休息，加强体育锻炼，同时出现打喷嚏、咳嗽等呼吸道症状时，要用纸巾、手帕掩盖口鼻，预防感染他人，出现发热、咳嗽、咽痛、全身不适等症状时，应戴上口罩，并及时到医院就诊。接触活禽及禽类制品后要尽快洗手，食用禽肉蛋时要充分煮熟煮透；砧板要生熟分开，切过生禽肉类的砧板要用开水烫过。
在H7N9的治疗上，目前对流感(包括禽流感)有磷酸奥司他韦(达菲)等神经氨酸酶抑制剂等特效治疗药，越早诊疗，效果越好，专家建议：凡是发热、头痛、全身酸痛、咽痛、流泪、鼻塞等流感样症状者，应及早到医院进行治疗，如果有活禽接触或暴露史，或有高血压、糖尿病等基础病者，及时主动告知医生，尽快服用磷酸奥司他韦等神经氨酸酶抑制剂(尽量48小时内服用)，并做血常规、咽拭子、核酸检测等检查进一步明确诊断。
