　　吴周春1976年从华南理工大学电力工程系毕业，曾任班长兼班党支部书记。此后被分配到湛江市电力局工作。1984年，他被任命为湛江市供电局局长，年仅33岁，成为当时全省电力系统最年轻的局长。

　　1987至1989年，他连续3年被评为湛江市优秀企业家，优秀厂长；1990年被评为湛江市劳动模范。1991年，吴周春调任广州电力工业局局长兼党委书记。1993年被评为广州市文明市民标兵；1994年被评为广州市“十大杰出青年企业家”，被电力部评为“重教兴教”先进个人；1995年又被评为广州市杰出青年企业家。

　　2003年初，吴周春任广东电网公司总经理。2006年，吴周春曾作为先进个人获全国“五一劳动奖章”。2009年，他担任中国南方电网有限公司总经理助理、南网国际有限公司董事长。广东电网、南网国际均为南方电网全资子公司。
