Chinese Red Cross transferred to Philippine typhoon hit 166 schools

　　赵白鸽说，当得知数以千计的学生因教室被台风摧毁而无法复课时，中国红十字会立即向菲律宾派出100人的专业人员和志愿者，提供搜救、医疗及校舍建设等多方面援助。短短两个月，166间校舍全部完工。香港红十字分会和汇丰银行还将为这些校舍提供8300个学生座椅和166套教师桌椅。

　　菲律宾红十字会会长理查德·戈登说，期待与中国红十字会进一步合作，为莱特省人民和塔克洛班灾后重建提供更多帮助。

　　台风“海燕”是菲律宾遭遇的最强台风，目前已导致6201人死亡、1785人失踪。菲中部许多学校被台风摧毁。
