辽阳市宏伟区委10日证实，视频1月27日在网络出现后，该区立即进行核实，并确认了区检察院反贪局长柳罡的确出现在视频中。在视频发布不到24小时后，柳罡即被宏伟区委停职。目前，当地纪检部门已组成调查组对视频中反映的问题进行调查。
该区委有关负责人表示，由于事件正逢春节假期，而且事发在另外一个城市丹东，所以目前还未得出调查结果。辽阳市宏伟区政府新闻发言人吕阳镜在接受中国官媒采访时称，柳罡本人对视频反映的内容基本认同，没有提出更多的不同意见，目前调查组的调查比较顺利。
