大哥眼中独立的小弟
1953年出生的李君旭是家里的老小，父母都是医生，四兄妹中数他最聪明。母亲带他去西湖玩时，教的西湖诗词都能很快地背下来。“外祖父是旧式的书生，母亲在文学方面积累很深，对他的影响很大。”大哥李君达觉得小弟的文学素养从小就显露出来了。
父亲是当时有名的血吸虫病医生，曾受世界卫生组织选拔赴美国学习，当新中国即将成立时，在联合国工作的他坚决要求回国，这种爱国的情怀也从小影响着李君旭。
李君旭成长在那个政治运动频繁的年代，父母传给他的挥斥方遒的书生性情和爱国情怀让他一直维持着内心的独立思想。1966年“文革”开始了，李君旭父亲被打倒后关在牛棚，母亲沦落洗碗还要挨批斗，出身不好的李君旭对“文革”有着自己的思考。
当时各个造反派喜欢油印小报发表观点，刚小学毕业的他也学会了油印技术，有模有样地“发行”自己的小报。
“自己写文章针对造反派的错误言论发表看法，印成A4纸大小的小报，叫做《小辣椒》，虽然文笔幼稚，但也敢跑到街上发。”读大学的大哥知道后并不阻止，还挺欣赏小弟的认识，只是希望被欺负时他能机灵地逃走。
“李君旭是个正直、有是非观的人。”李君达看着李君旭长大，在他看来，能“代言”总理遗言正源于李君旭骨子里的正义感，并且获得了周围人的支持和赞赏。
1975年，李君旭开始在杭州汽轮机厂当学徒，一年后当他因为伪造“总理遗言”案被突然带走时，他的师傅冒着犯政治错误的风险，连夜骑车悄悄地来到李家告知，“当时整个厂都被要求不得透露任何消息，师傅还是来告诉我们，可见师徒情分之深。”
1977年春天，受牵连被带走的父亲和友人陆续回家，直到10月份，李君旭才戴着“有严重政治错误”的帽子回到汽轮机厂。“工厂的领导和同事并不太在意，李君旭就带着政治错误入了党，后来还当了厂团委书记。”
小伙伴眼中的有才帅哥
李君旭儿时有好几个小伙伴，其中一个很要好的伙伴是邻居家的袁中伟。袁中伟在得知李君旭去世的事情后说：“发生这样的事情，我觉得有些突然，也难过。”
曾经袁中伟家和李君旭家就住在对面，据袁中伟的妹妹袁敏回忆，当时站在自己家的晒台上就可以看见李君旭家的阳台，李君旭也经常到她家玩耍，“就像到了自己家一样。”袁敏说。
她和李君旭既是邻居又是小学同班同学，袁敏说：“他小时候就很擅长写作文，作文写得特别好，人也长得帅。”
长得帅又有才的李君旭特别受女孩子喜欢，袁敏回忆到，在杭州汽轮机厂工作时，就有很多女孩子喜欢他，其中有一个女孩子长得漂亮，家境又好，还因为喜欢李君旭好长时间都没有结婚。
后辈眼中值得敬重的人
在父兄都是理工科背景的家庭里，李君旭却走上了文学道路。早年，年幼的侄子李长岭路过他居住的6平米亭子间时，常常会看到他在伏案写作。在汽轮机厂期间，他写了一篇报告文学《啊！龙》，反映了汽轮机厂的新发展，获得了茅盾报告文学奖。
这位在政治漩涡中蹚过来的叔叔，每个暑假都会带着李长岭去钱塘江游泳、骑车去翻越五云山。
李君旭一直保持着旺盛的生命力，尽管在1989年，突发“硬膜下血肿”导致记忆受损，仍会经常念叨“什么时候能去上班，我想去上班”。
“我每年都要去看他的，不过今年还没有来得及看，就……”因为职务的关系，青年时报党总支副书记钱育杭从1997年前后开始，每年都要去李君旭家探望他。
钱育杭记得，当时看到的李君旭只有四五岁孩子的智力，躺在床上，路也不会走，上半身还很伟岸，而下半身好像得了小儿麻痹症一样萎缩、弯曲。不能正常地走路，只能靠助步器勉强走一段。他离世前住在竹竿巷，家里装修过，也挺整洁，有个护工照料他的生活。
每次探望，钱育杭说，她都会和李君旭说会儿话，然而李君旭几乎不讲话，偶尔会有些简单的对话。比如你问他饭有没有吃过，他会说，吃过了。你再问他身上有没有病痛，他会说，脚痛。“你问一句，他答一句。”钱育杭回忆道。然而即使每年她都探望李君旭，到下一年，李君旭却依旧不记得她是谁。“他好像只记得他原来的朋友。”钱育杭说。
老同事眼中的“邻家大哥”
上世纪80年代，李君旭从报社挂职到杭州大学宣传部任副部长。当时宋建勋是校刊编辑部主任，和李君旭共事。他回忆说：“他对自己的要求高，工作很努力，特别喜欢写作，尤其写报告文学写得很有名。”宋建勋至今还记得李君旭写的一篇报告文学，文章是写当时杭州大学宣传部部长童芍素，不过是以童芍素儿子的视角来写。
宋建勋的记忆里，李君旭是个爱思考的人，他说起一件趣事，某天李君旭骑着自行车去杭州大学上班，边骑自行车边思考，途经宝石路时，因为当时的路正在维修，他却只顾着思考，没顾得上看路，不小心摔倒，磕掉了两颗门牙。
“1米8多的个子，长的很帅。”宋建勋眼中的李君旭是个为人忠厚、善良的“邻家大哥”。
宋建勋回忆道，那时李君旭的身体状态就不好了，“他似乎有些低血糖现象，有时会犯晕，有时开会开着开着还会睡着。”宋建勋记得这样的状况经常发生在李君旭吃饭前和连续工作几个小时后。
一年后，李君旭结束挂职后，宋建勋依旧和他保持着很好的关系，在李君旭病重休养的日子里，他还经常和童芍素去看望他。“那时，他已经不认识很多人了，但见了我却能叫得出我的名字。”
因为生病，李君旭的思维和行动有些不协调，宋建勋回忆说，“不过，他还是很努力地拿起笔、纸，想要写回忆录，想到一点就记下一点。”停顿了一下，宋建勋说：“蛮可惜的，那么一个有才能的人，又喜欢写作，却很早离开了自己热爱的工作岗位。”每次去看望李君旭，除了带水果之类的东西，宋建勋还会带上很多杂志，“他喜欢看书，尤其是经济和文化类的，我们带给他。”

主席、中央：
我自第二次手术以来，病情曾有短期稳定。从下半年开始，癌症已经广泛扩散，虽然自觉尚好，但离见马克思的日子确实不太远了。我想有必要向主席及中央汇报一下近来的一些想法。
患病期间，主席对我亲切关怀使我十分感动，主席年纪大了，要注意身体。有主席为我们党和国家掌舵，是全国人民莫大的幸福，也是我莫大的欣慰。这些日子，主席在遵义会议时和我的谈话历历在目，百感交集。不能为主席分担一些工作，我十分难过。为了我们祖国和人民的前途，主席一定要保重。
洪文同志几年来，无论在理论上，还是在解决问题上，提高都很快，对此我极为高兴，我们党后继有人，洪文同志今后要多抓全面性的问题，处理还要果断，为党多做工作。
