警方介绍，2013年6月，涪陵烟草部门联合涪陵警方，破获一制作假烟窝点，现场查获假烟1万多条。民警对嫌疑人询问时得知，窝点背后大老板外号“阿宝”，由其提供制作假烟的烟盒和外包装，阿宝同时为数个造假窝点提供假冒卷烟盒皮。
经调查后，公安和烟草部门随即组成专案组飞赴阿宝藏身地广州，对阿宝展开调查。经两个星期蹲守，一辆当地牌照的银色面包车进入警方视线。民警确定，车主沈芝明即为犯罪嫌疑人阿宝。
民警称，今年30岁的沈芝明从十几岁时就开始参与假烟制作。十几年来，他因为制假多次被警方查处，受处后他很快又东山再起。多次被打击的经历让他十分警觉。为了确认身边是否有民警跟踪，沈芝明经常让情妇开着自己的轿车，在小区车库开进开出，确定没人跟踪后他才出门。

目前，该案还在进一步查办之中。
