Brian R. Bondy在博客中介绍到，Win8 Modern版火狐浏览器用户量低迷，并不能表示Win8、Modern UI用户量过低。
他认为，真正的原因在于Win8系统不允许第三方Modern版浏览器运行，除非设置为系统默认浏览器。
事实上，很多Win8用户参与火狐Firefox测试版体验项目，但用户并不知情如何开启Modern版Firefox使用功能。
相比旧版Windows平台，Win8/Win8.1在系统默认浏览器设置上相对复杂。
Bondy具体解释道：在Windows8下，用户需要手动设置HTML、HTTP等网络协议的默认浏览器。
虽然在Win8系统默认浏览器设置上略显复杂，但Bondy一直支持Win8带来革新的Modern UI界面。
因为，触控引导现代电子设备潮流，而Win8是更好的催化剂。
