两条“棠安路”搞晕记者

随后，记者来到天河区棠安路。在该路上，记者果然发现有一个被治安监控覆盖、旁边就是便利店的可供停车位置。记者到达时，恰好是出租车交班时间，大批的哥驾车在交班。根据上述线索，记者确认此处为颜师傅丢车的地方，便发表了相关稿件。但该稿见报后，颜师傅致电称：“你搞错了，我丢车的地方不是这条棠安路。”
“广州有两条棠安路？”顺着颜师傅指引，记者在白云区三元里大道北端，发现了另一条棠安路，和天河区的棠安路路牌文字几乎一模一样，唯独是路牌下方的文字不一样：天河棠安路为南北走向，北接棠德南路，南接科韵路；白云棠安路为东西走向，东接三元里大道，西接谢家南社路。
两条棠安路，在不同的地区，但都是广州的哥交班和聚居的地方。在广州土生土长生活了近30年的记者本人“栽了”。
还有“三胞胎”地名
根据一众的士司机指引，记者发现，广州地名不止棠安路一例“孪生兄弟”。
广州地铁6号线的开通，让不少市民认识了该线东边终点站，位于天河区的“长湴”这一地名。由于“湴”字不太常见，不少市民倍感新鲜。但对于居住在白云区嘉禾的市民来说，“长湴”并不是一个新鲜名字，“我们家旁边也有一个长湴。”原来，在白云区的嘉禾同样有一个叫“长湴”的村落。一北一东两个长湴，看起来互不干扰。但对于罗冲围公交总站来说，却可能让乘客困惑。记者在该站看到，该站有46和259两路公交车，都前往长湴，但一个是去天河区长湴，一个是去白云区长湴。为了区分，46路线路牌，写着“中科院化学所(长湴村)”，259路线路牌则写“嘉禾(长湴)”。
“几乎每天都会有乘客在站台打手机问‘到底是哪个长湴’。”罗冲围总站站务人员称，一些外地来客经常被搞晕。虽然线路牌已加注，但坐错车的人还是有。
海珠区工业大道附近有个石溪，天河区也有个石溪的村落。
孪生已经罕见，更罕见的是“三胞胎”。前文所述的天河棠安路，取自该路旁边的棠下村。但在白云区三元里大道旁，同样有个叫“棠下”的村。而在萝岗区的九佛，也有一村名为“棠下”。
英文发音相同老外坐错车
即使中文字和音并不相同，孪生地名的烦恼，也会意外地让外国友人在广州遇到。
广州地铁老2号线开通时，海珠区有个地铁站，名为晓港站。2010年老2号线拆分成新2号线和8号线，晓港站划归8号线，新2号线在白云区，有一车站，名叫萧岗站。两个车站的外文名字，如果不加任何处理，直接按汉语拼音翻译，都叫“Xiaogang”。记者19日搭乘地铁前往上述两站，发现地铁英文报站中，两站发音一模一样。
为此，广州地铁对晓港和萧岗两站，外文译名作了处理。萧岗站外文，多加一道杠，显示为“Xiao-gang”。不过因报站声音无法区别，还是有人坐错。“总会有一两个外国人，本想去萧岗，结果来了我们这里。”晓港站站务人员告诉记者。
“撞脸”地名都有故事
孪生地名惹麻烦，改名字不就得了？记者查阅文献资料发现，广州这些孪生地名，个个都有段故事，改了谁都不好。
例如，根据《广州百科全书》，天河棠下得名自“村落建在甘棠树下”；对于白云棠下，《新市镇志》记载“村民原住唐代长安附近，因躲避战乱南下，取‘唐朝南下’之意名‘唐下’，又名‘唐夏’。后因村位于棠溪之南，‘唐夏’‘棠下’同音，久而久之名为‘棠下’。”根据《广州市地名志》，萝岗棠下“因村位于鱼塘以下得名‘塘下’，后谐音‘棠下’。”
