　　据了解，2014年3月23日世界气象日活动主题是“天气和气候：青年人的参与”。当天，山西省气象台天气预报会商室、省气象影视中心、省气候中心卫星遥感室及为农服务平台、省人工增雨太原基地等业务单位对社会公众开放，迎接社会公众前来学习和参观。

　　记者看到，在山西省气象台众多的爱好气象和关注气象工作的大中小学生、以及带孩子的家长前来参观学习，有的认真阅读者现场宣传人员发放的资料，有的认真填写气象科普、气候变化等方面调查问卷，充满了浓厚的学习交流的氛围。

　　当天，山西省气象局在省气象台举行纪念世界气象日新闻媒体通报会，通报会上，山西省气象科学研究所专家胡良温指出，近50多年来，山西省平均的年霾日数增加趋势明显，且大风日数整体呈减少趋势，而大风日数减少是雾霾日数增多的主要原因。
