北京服装协会副秘书长刘亚桐说，习近平所穿中式服装在颜色选择上稳重大气，而立领间露出的白色衬衣显得层次分明、清爽精致。
而中国独立设计师李铂楠认为，与传统中山装不同，习近平的这套服装把惯常的明门襟改为暗门襟，衬托本人大方、沉稳气质。

她说，这次宴会，彭丽媛内穿立领粉青色旗袍，除了与丈夫衣着颜色相互搭配以外，旗袍面料的飘逸与改良中山装的紧致熨帖形成一松一紧的结构搭配，中国特色十足。
李铂楠解读，彭丽媛所穿旗袍与西方女性服饰传统束腰设计形成鲜明对比，展现优雅身姿。而旗袍外的黑色绣花外套是以西式斗篷搭配中式对襟领，巧妙结合流行和传统。
而在刘亚桐看来，彭丽媛的服装带有亮丽色彩，适合春天这个时节，清爽而优美，唤起大家对春天的联想。
