　　对于《钓鱼岛真相》的拍摄动机，里比告诉中新网记者，对于中国的钓鱼岛，西方媒体有非常多的负面报道，却一直没有一些正确的、以史实为依据的信息传递出来，而现在是时候公布历史的真相了。

　　里比还指出，他在中国游历了很多地方，接触了非常友好的中国人民，也见证了中国各项事业的长足发展，他认为向西方社会还原中国钓鱼岛的历史真相是其职责所在。

　　《钓鱼岛真相》的公映也在紧锣密鼓的进行中。

　　里比告诉中新网记者，该片2014年3月8日制作完成，随后于3月11日在好莱坞的比弗利山举行了首映仪式。

　　而对于今后的放映计划，记者还获悉，从3月24日起，《钓鱼岛真相》将在中国公映。
