尼尼斯特表示，在芬中新型合作伙伴关系引领下，两国合作进展顺利。芬方希望同中方尽早达成有关政治文件，推动两国关系不断前进。芬方欢迎中方积极参与北极事务，愿同中方开展合作。习近平主席即将对欧盟总部进行的访问是历史性的，将为芬兰和欧洲带来新的合作机遇。芬兰愿积极推动欧中关系发展。
双方还就乌克兰局势交换了看法。
