25日上午，李克强主持召开国务院常务会议，听取了马方发布关于马航客机失联事件最新信息后有关情况的汇报。指出，事件发生后，党中央、国务院高度重视，习近平总书记等中央领导同志第一时间作出重要指示，就全力协助马方搜救、家属安抚、事故原因调查等工作进行部署。中国政府调集众多资源，尽最大努力开展搜救。会议强调，我们对中国乘客亲属的艰难处境和悲痛心情感同身受。当前搜救工作仍是第一要务。有关部门要要求马方提供更加详细准确的信息，严格遵守国际公约，继续协调国际社会力量全力搜救，吸收中方专家组深度介入事故调查工作。中国在前方一线海域的全部搜救力量要继续倾力投入搜救，绝不放弃努力。国务院办公厅要加强统筹协调，指导有关部门和地方开展工作。继续为乘客亲属悉心周到提供医疗、心理、法律等帮助，尤其要精心做好出现健康疾患亲属的治疗和护理，确保他们的身体健康。政府将切实维护中国公民的合法权益。
