As of 25th, at 9 o'clock, 15 people were killed and 56 were injured.
After the accident, qianjiang district, immediately organized rescue work of local public security, traffic, medical and health care personnel. Communist Party Chief Sun Zhengcai, Mayor Huang qifan, given instructions requires full treatment of injured people, properly deal with aftermath, identify the cause of the accident, giving top priority to increase the level of traffic safety and the safe production work. Early hours of the day, city Vice Mayor Liu Qiang rate transportation, safety supervision, public security, health, emergency and other departments rushed to the scene, organize and direct disposal.
At present, the wounded have been sent to qianjiang district Central Hospital, qianjiang district people's Hospital for treatment. Municipal Health Bureau organization daping hospital, third military medical University, Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing City, a hospital, the Emergency Center of 12 experts had arrived overnight in qianjiang steering casualty.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
包茂高速黔江段发生一起交通事故
华龙网3月25日9时45分讯(记者 阙影) 3月25日零点30分左右，G65包茂高速黔江境内进城方向阿蓬江至濯水路段发生重大道路交通事故，1辆牌照为川E34436的客车(从广州顺德开往四川泸州)发生侧翻，接着被后方驶来的渝BR2602货车追尾碰撞，并导致其后方同向行驶的多辆车追尾。截至25日9时，已造成15人死亡，56人不同程度受伤。
事故发生后，黔江区迅即组织当地公安、交通、医护人员展开救援工作。市委书记孙政才、市长黄奇帆作出批示，要求全力救治受伤群众，妥善处置善后事宜，查明事故原因，举一反三，进一步做好交通安全和各项安全生产工作。当日凌晨，副市长刘强率市交通、公安、卫生、安监、应急等部门赶赴现场，组织指挥事故处置工作。
目前，事故伤员已送往黔江区中心医院、黔江区民族医院救治。市卫生局组织第三军医大学大坪医院、重庆医科大学附属一院、重庆市急救中心12名专家已连夜赶到黔江指导伤员救治工作。
事故原因正在调查中。
