他们都是改革开放的受益者,赶上了中国企业最好的30年。他们的企业之所以脱颖而出,首先是因为他们不甘平庸的企业家精神。用他们两人共同的好朋友、汇源果汁集团有限公司董事长朱新礼的话来说,世界上有三类人:第一种人不点就着,第二种人点一把才着,第三种人怎么点也不着。1984年的时候,柳传志和王石不想在平庸中虚度一生,于是“不点就着”,下海创业,从此成就一番事业。朱新礼说自己是“点一把才着的人”,直到1992年小平南巡的时候才下定决心出来创业。用如今时髦的话来说,1984年的柳传志和王石站在了风口上,因此他们飞得最高。

他们的成功当然不仅仅是因为顺应了时势,更是由于对规则的坚持。联想是一家非常强调企业价值观的企业,要求每一位员工都能够“入模子”,做任何事情都要坚持“建班子、定战略、带队伍”的方法论;身处房地产“大染缸”的万科却坚持阳光投标,不行贿,并率先尝试工业化开发模式,还打造了中国口碑最好的业务服务。

因此,任何一位后晋的中国企业家,都能够从这两位前辈身上学到很多东西。在如今这个大变革的年代,中国的企业家群体似乎陷入了普遍的焦虑之中:国内国际大环境的不确定性、互联网新商业模式的冲击、高管和人才梯队的青黄不接……于是,他们读MBA、扎圈子、搞培训、练气功……他们寻寻觅觅,却找不到未来的方向。

其实,如果他们把企业的未来放到下一个30年或者更长的时间刻度上,他们应该从柳传志和王石这场30年的对话中得到启示,那就是回归初心,回到商业的本质。
