United?States?Air?Force?has?yet?to?comment,?but?United?Launch?Alliance?spokeswoman?Christina?Bell?(Christa?Bell),?said:?"this?contract?already?existed?as?early?as?2011,?United?Launch?Alliance?and?United?States?Air?Force′s?contract?could?save?up?to?4?billion?dollars?for?the?latter′s?expenses.?Meanwhile,?the?United?Launch?Alliance?has?also?realized?that?the?Ministry?of?defence?hopes?to?strengthen?defense?contract?in?a?competitive?program,?and?we?will?continue?to?be?provided?for?the?responsible?task?reliability?and?great?support?as?ever.?”
However,?Marske?believes?United?Launch?Alliance?with?the?United?States?air?force,?the?contract?will?cost?taxpayers?billions?of?unnecessary?spending,?since?SpaceX?to?cheap?cost?to?provide?the?same?rocket?launch?services.?It?is?worth?mentioning?that,?SpaceX?announced?as?early?as?December?23,?2008,?their?access?to?the?commercial?resupply?services?contracts?worth?1.6?billion?dollars,?which?will?be?primarily?responsible?for?carrying?out?the?space?shuttle?in?2010?after?retiring?follow-up?supply?mission?to?the?international?space?station.

素有“钢铁侠”之称的美国知名企业家埃隆-马斯克（Elon?Musk）日前因为旗下太空探索技术公司SpaceX在合同竞标中所遭遇的不平等待遇而首次将自己的枪口对准了美国联邦政府。在上周末的一次新闻发布会中，马斯克表示自己计划正式起诉美国空军和联合发射同盟(United?Launch?Alliance)，而前者不久前才同联合发射同盟签订了一纸价值72亿美元的承包合同。
联合发射联盟是波音公司(Boeing)与美国大型武器生产商洛克希德-马丁公司(Lockheed?Martin)联手成立的一家大型合资企业，该公司的主要业务是承接美国联邦政府的合同，并负责将诸如GPS卫星等设备发射进入太空轨道。
对此，马斯克认为：“这一合同的存在事实上阻止了诸如SpaceX这些企业竞标事关国家安全类业务的可能，但这对我们来说这并不公平。”
美国空军尚未就此发表置评，但联合发射同盟女发言人克里斯蒂娜-贝尔（Christa?Bell）表示：“这一合同早在2011年就已经存在，而联合发射同盟同美国空军的这一合同能够为后者节省高达40亿美元的费用开支。与此同时，联合发射同盟也意识到了国防部希望加强国防合同承包竞争性的计划，而我们也愿意继续为所负责任务提供一如既往的可靠性和巨大支持。”
