日前，经中共中央批准，中共中央纪委对十八届中央候补委员、四川省委原副书记李春城严重违纪违法问题进行了立案检查。
经查，李春城利用职务上的便利为他人谋取利益，收受巨额贿赂；利用职务上的便利为他人谋取利益，其妻、女收受他人所送巨额财物；利用职务上的便利为其弟经营活动谋取利益；滥用职权进行封建迷信活动，造成国家财政资金巨额损失；腐化堕落。
李春城的上述行为已构成严重违纪违法，其中受贿、滥用职权问题已涉嫌犯罪。依据《中国共产党纪律处分条例》和《中华人民共和国公务员法》的有关规定，经中央纪委常委会议研究并报中共中央政治局会议审议，决定给予李春城开除党籍、开除公职处分；收缴其违纪所得；将其涉嫌犯罪问题及涉案款物移送司法机关依法处理。给予其开除党籍处分待召开中央委员会全体会议时予以追认。

李春城，男，汉族，1956年4月生，辽宁海城人，1978年2月加入中国共产党，1973年4月参加工作，哈尔滨工业大学电气工程系微特电机及控制电器专业毕业，研究生学历，工学硕士，助理研究员。
1973年4月后，曾下乡当知青。1978年7月哈尔滨工业大学毕业后，留校工作，先后任系辅导员、教师、党委办公室副科级调研员、党委组织部副部长。1987年9月后，历任共青团黑龙江省哈尔滨市委副书记、书记，太平区委副书记、区长。1995年12月任黑龙江省哈尔滨市委常委、太平区委书记，1997年9月任黑龙江省哈尔滨市委常委，1997年11月任黑龙江省哈尔滨市副市长。1998年12月任四川省成都市副市长。2000年8月任四川省泸州市委书记。2001年1月任四川省成都市委副书记、副市长、代市长，2001年2月任四川省成都市委副书记、市长。2003年6月任四川省委常委、成都市委书记，2003年8月任四川省委常委、成都市委书记、市人大常委会主任，2005年2月任四川省委常委、成都市委书记，2011年9月任四川省委副书记、成都市委书记，2011年11月任四川省委副书记、省委民工委书记(兼)。中共十六大、十七大代表，十六届中央候补委员。
