新京报讯?(记者?刘刚?实习生?曾庆雪?罗婷)?网传新华社安徽分社副社长、总编辑宋斌办公室内身亡。新京报记者从多个接近新华社安徽分社的消息源处证实上述消息。截至记者发稿，官方尚未发布相关消息。
多个消息源称，4月28日19点左右，新华社安徽分社副社长、总编辑宋斌，在其办公室内身亡。原因不明。据称当地警方已连夜介入调查。记者多次致电安徽、合肥省市宣传和公安部门相关负责人，截至发稿，未有回应。新华社安徽分社公开的办公电话无人应答。
根据宋斌署名报道和公开活动梳理发现，2006年，宋斌任新华视点记者，2007年11月，担任新华社安徽分社副总编辑，2008年3月，曾作为高级记者报道全国两会，2009年5月，任新华社安徽分社副社长、总编辑。
记者检索媒体报道发现，2014年春节后，宋斌鲜有出现在公众场合。网络有消息称，“初步断定宋斌系上吊自杀，有遗书，表示2004年后患抑郁症，对生活失去兴趣”。但上述消息未获官方证实。
据财新网报道，宋斌大约在1984年左右毕业于安徽大学中文系，在新华社安徽分社工作多年。
据了解宋斌的同行介绍，他这个人为人“比较豪爽，能喝酒”。新华社总社一位与宋有过接触的人士也说，感觉宋斌性格比较豁达，对于他身亡的消息非常震惊。
据其同事介绍，宋斌大约在1984年左右毕业于安徽大学中文系，在新华社安徽分社工作多年，1998年长江流域发生特大洪水，宋斌曾赴一线报道，因为表现突出，曾在当年光明日报的通讯《丹心一篇谱壮歌——记奋战在抗洪抢险第一线的新闻记者们》中惊鸿一现。
宋斌作为新华社安徽分社的记者，报道领域涉及社会、经济等很多领域。
2009年，皖北煤电集团授予新华社高级记者宋斌及其同事于杰“荣誉矿工”称号。皖北煤电集团称，宋斌“多年来关注安徽煤矿的安全生产与企业发展，不仅平日经常深入矿区采访，把握煤炭经济脉搏，而且连续多年放弃春节休假，坚持深入皖北矿区百米井下采访，与矿工一起坚守岗位迎接新年，共发出文字、图片、视频通稿百余篇，为皖北煤电的安全生产鼓与呼，与煤矿结下浓厚感情，深受矿工爱戴”。
担任新华社安徽分社副社长、总编辑职务之后，宋斌仍有不少新闻作品发表，例如2011年报道安徽新农村建设，2012年报道安徽凤阳校车运行试点。
