28年首次迎来新飞机
据悉，这是尼泊尔航空公司28年来首次迎来新飞机，这6架飞机将陆续交由尼泊尔国有航空公司运营，这家公司也是尼泊尔唯一的国有航空公司。中航国际公司总裁吴光权曾表示，中方企业已经为尼泊尔航空公司培训了一批飞行员，并将在飞机维护与技术方面与尼方保持密切合作。
销往亚非多国
新舟60是由中航工业西安飞机工业(集团)有限责任公司生产的一款支线飞机。目前新舟60已经销往津巴布韦、赞比亚、印度尼西亚等国，国内的奥凯、幸福等航空公司也购进了这款飞机。
此外，同样是国产的运12E是哈飞航空工业股份有限公司研发的一种轻型多用途飞机。尼泊尔作为内陆山国，运12E也适合在这样的环境中飞行。
新舟60适航认证与国际标准看齐
中航飞机股份有限公司总经理唐军介绍，新舟60的升级版新舟600客机目前已处于开拓市场阶段，今年已接获新舟60和新舟600订单共15架。计划于2018年交付的新舟700，打算先拿到中国的适航认证，再去拿美国的适航认证，这样在全球就可以销售得更顺畅。
新舟60是中国首次按照与国际标准接轨的中国民航适航条例CCAR-25进行设计、生产和试飞验证的一款国产支线客机。唐军介绍，新舟60飞机采取的策略是首先取得中国民航的认证，这个相对容易一些，之后再慢慢拓展市场，很多国家和我们有“双边适航”(两国民航局互相认可适航证)的协定，如非洲、东南亚的一些国家。先立足国内，再卖到有双边适航的国家，再逐步拓展海外市场。
唐军介绍说，2000年，运7-200拿到适航认证，正式定名为新舟，当时适航认证的标准是中国民航局CCAR-25(民用飞机投入航线的适航认证标准)。作为拥有自主知识产权的国产新一代涡桨支线飞机的代表，新舟60飞机从设计到批量生产，始终注重突出安全、舒适、经济、易维护和驾驶品质优良等特性。
唐军说，从新舟60拿到适航认证到现在，适航的标准也是与时俱进的，我国的标准是和国际先进标准看齐的，我们当时建立和FAA(美国联邦航空管理局)适航认证接轨的体系，但我们的标准是在不断更新的，一方面是根据我们遇到的新问题，另一方面也是由于FAA的变化。
新舟60如何
打入国际市场？
1988年
中航工业西飞开始启动新舟60飞机的研制工作：新舟60最早是依据苏联引进的安-24进行测绘、仿制，诞生的第一个机型就是运-7，在运-7的基础上又产生了运7-100，运7-200，在运7-200的基础上又经过改进、改型才产生了新舟60。
2000年
正式定名为新舟。
2005年4月
新舟60飞机成功打开了中国国产民用飞机飞往世界的大门，向津巴布韦出口了两架，之后对赞比亚、刚果(布)、老挝、印尼、菲律宾、玻利维亚等多个国家成功外销。
2008年10月
新舟60由奥凯航空首次投入国内商业航线。
