正如其名，Cdrive就是大家最熟悉的C盘或系统盘。Cdrive也是Windows系统默认安装的驱动器目录。为此，微软甚至购买了Cdrive.com域名，替代原SkyDrive网盘。

据外媒Neowin报道，微软在2013年10月购买Cdrive.com域名，但这笔投资一直到现在也没有启用。

最终，微软还是使用了OneDrive。

为什么不用CDrive呢？

其中最大原因在于智能手机、平板电脑等设备，因此，CDrive这种理念过于保守和封闭，不符合微软网盘的跨平台的理念。
