50多天以来，包括马方、澳方在内的国际社会有关各方为客机搜寻、事件调查等也付出了巨大努力，不少国家政府和领导人以多种方式对中方及中国乘客家属表示同情和慰问。中方对此表示诚挚感谢。
秦刚说，中方注意到，马来西亚方面明确承诺将继续开展搜寻行动，并已邀请国际社会相关方建立独立调查组对事件展开深入调查，中方对此表示肯定和欢迎。中方将继续与马方、澳方等密切合作，积极参与后续搜寻，开展公正调查。中方还愿意与马方密切协调，进一步做好对中国乘客家属的安抚服务工作，切实维护好他们的正当、合法权益。
