中新网广州5月9日电 (程景伟)广州市公安局新闻办9日对外称，广州警方集中3个月时间进行依法使用武器警械专项训练，全面提高基层一线警察应急反应和实战能力，应对当前反恐和处置突发事件的严峻形势。
广州警方同时还分3批次选派51名教官参加中国公安部和广东省公安厅举办的武器警械专项训练教官培训班，并自行举办2期培训班为基层一线单位培训了100名教官。
记者了解到，广州警方将利用经过专门培养的教官，依托全市17个警察训练基地，采取“轮训轮值、战训合一”组训模式，通过专题讲座、集中学习、办班轮训等形式，分批开展全警训练，确保每名警察训练到位；同时还将组织武器警械使用专项竞赛和立体化巡逻防控综合演练。
广州市副市长、市公安局局长谢晓丹当天在该局警察训练部同和基地现场观摩训练。他称，广州警察要确保在处置严重危害公共安全暴力犯罪的关键时刻，勇于担当、敢于“亮剑”，善于使用武器警械，依法打响正义之枪，维护社会平安和大局稳定。
据悉，上月底，广州北京路发生一起群殴事件，警方向天鸣两枪后控制住了场面；5月6日，广州火车站广场发生一起砍人事件，造成6人受伤，现场处置的警察开两枪击中凶徒，制止其暴力行为。(完)
