近日，市公安局巡特警支队将突击车、执法服务车开进哈站站前广场(距离出站口70米处)。5名特警身着作战服，配备突击步枪、狙击步枪、微型冲锋枪、手枪等，在站前广场进行24小时巡逻。另外，铁路民警、站前分局民警在哈站内外24小时执勤把守。
“五一”刚刚上岗的武装处突巡逻车每隔15分钟对中山路、霁虹桥等这些通往哈站的交通要道进行巡逻。一旦发生突发事件，哈站将立即形成百余名警力组成的处突队伍。此外，在西客站站前分局和铁路公安的警力24小时驻守内外，随时应对各类突发事件。
目前，全市500台警务巡逻车、20台执法服务车和50台警用摩托车对哈市30条重点街路和55个商圈、广场及人员密集场所进行常态化巡逻。
