此外，苹果还请求法院重新审理该案，以认定更多的三星产品对苹果专利构成侵权，从而获得三倍于此前陪审团授予苹果的赔偿金额。
本月初，美国法院就苹果三星的专利诉讼案做出判决。陪审团一致认为，三星侵犯了苹果五项诉讼中的三项专利，应向苹果赔偿1.196亿美元，不过金额远远低于苹果22亿美元赔偿请求，从而引发苹果对案件审理的不满。
