据经济之声《央广财经评论》报道,眼下,各种理财产品像雨后春笋般层出不穷。在互联网理财和传统银行理财这两大阵营之外,电信运营商也从半路杀出,加入了这场趋于白热化的理财产品之争。

5月20日,联通推出了“话费宝”,用户购买合约机时预存的花费会有一部分被冻结,交由合作的基金公司进行理财业务,收益用于支付电话费。在此之前,中国电信在3月份就已经推出了一款月增值理财服务“添益宝”。而在4G牌照发放之后,中移动发布的“和包”支付品牌,也被媒体认为是移动涉足理财的重要一步。

电信运营商染指网络理财,很大程度上是主营业务发展乏力的结果。这种跨行业发展是神来之笔还是盲目尝试?经济之声特约评论员、北京邮电大学经济管理学院教授阚凯力就此事发表观点和评论。

经济之声:电信运营商在拓展业务方面有过很多尝试,之前的尝试我们都比较容易理解。但是这次电信运营商开始做网络理财,就让人觉得摸不着头脑。电信市场依然是卖方市场,运营商做理财,放着自己的好生意不做去做别的,有点不务正业。怎么看待这样一种批评的声音?

阚凯力:电信运营商目前所受到的业务上的压力确实非常大,尤其是最近几年以来,微信、易信还有像阿里的来往等等这种所谓的OTT业务,确实在很大程度上冲击了电信运营商的传统业务市场,尤其是话音和短信。一方面,微信上面发的信息或通话海量增加;另一方面,电信运营商的收入尤其是利润,受到了很大的打击,它们在传统的经营领域确实受到了很大的挑战。在这种情况下,可能运营商就有点急了,有病乱投医,坐不住了,它们想用其他的方法和以互联网为基础的互联网公司竞争,同时还要去和虚拟运营商进行竞争,所以传统运营商可能是八仙过海,各显其能,各种领域都要试一把。

经济之声:电信运营商着急了,但是从电信和联通已经推出的相关服务来看,它们能不能把分走的蛋糕给补上?它们目前是找一家基金公司合作,自己做渠道,这样的合作方式不新奇,但是运营商没有理财业务的管理经验,所以在实力上、经验上要比竞争对手差一些。对于电信运营商涉足理财服务,您觉得会是一个什么样的结果?它们能够赢吗?或者说能体现出自己的特色来吸引客户的加入吗?

阚凯力:我觉得很难吸引客户加入。比如说一些运营商把客户预存的话费去做投资理财,用理财的收益来交话费,消费者就会想:我为什么要把钱放在你这去理财呢?现在因为有很多理财公司,有很多种理财产品,像支付宝、余额宝这些所谓的“宝宝们”,它们的理财经验更丰富,消费者可以挑选最适合自己、自己最信得过的那些理财公司或者基金公司,然后挑选最适合自己的理财产品来取得高收益。电信运营商缺乏金融方面的经验,我觉得很难竞争得过这些“宝宝”们。

经济之声:很多人觉得电信运营商来做这个事有点不务正业,不务正业还在其次,大家最担心的一个问题是,电信运营商这种不务正业有没有可能会损害三大运营商自身的实力,甚至影响到通信服务的质量?

阚凯力:这我倒不太担心,从目前的状况来看,无论是理财产品还是“宝宝”们,不可能占据电信运营商网络容量的太多部分。关键是它要投入人力、物力、财力去搞这个东西,如果搞不成,没有竞争力,到时候恐怕也就慢慢偃旗息鼓,歃血而归了。

经济之声:接下来,运营商应该怎么理性寻找新的发展路径呢?

阚凯力:电信运营商真正的强项是拥有电信网络,是相关技术和运营的绝对专家,所以它们用自己的网络做好广告,为所有的互联网公司尤其是宽带业务提供最好的服务就可以了。这就是电信运营商的强项,也是它们将来的发展方向。
