记者采访了解到，2014年3月12日，任楼煤矿采后封闭的II7322收作面采空区内发生瓦斯爆炸，造成3人死亡、1人受伤，直接经济损失近900万元。

为此，安徽煤矿安全监察局依法对事故作出严肃处理，共处理事故责任人11人，其中对该煤矿党委书记撤销安全资格证，处10万元罚款，建议给予撤销党内职务处分；对矿长给予行政撤职处分，并处10万元罚款，撤销其矿长资格证和安全资格证，五年内不得担任煤矿矿长。同时，责成皖北煤电集团有限责任公司向安徽省国资委作书面检查。
