China’s Expressway construction company planned for Cambodia

Xinhuanet, Phnom Penh, May 27 (reporters Wang Qibing and Li Hong)-transportation planning in Henan province of China investigation and Design Institute limited liability company, 27th in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh to the Cambodian side submitted a report on the overall plan of Expressway development in Cambodia.

Cambodian Minister of public works and transport delanyoude, Henan province transportation planning survey and Design Institute limited liability company chairman Chang Xingwen, Henan provincial Department of transportation chief engineer Li Qiang, and officials of the commercial Department of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia and Cambodian officials, more than 200 people attended the handover ceremony.

At the handover ceremony held in the day, Li Qiang said the Transportation Department of Henan province will, as always, continue to support technical cooperation with Cambodia in the traffic-building, while also supporting a strength of Henan Province highway transportation enterprises to actively participate in Cambodia's construction.

Chang Xingwen said Cambodia has entered a phase of rapid economic development, transportation infrastructure construction level of higher demands and expectations, guided by the planning report will contribute effectively and highway construction, have a positive and long-term impact on Cambodia's economic and social development.

Delanyoude on the Chinese side expressed appreciation for Cambodia to complete highway development master plan. He said that building the highway would further promote economic development in Cambodia, into regional integration also allows the connectivity of Cambodia and Thailand and Viet Nam expressway network will contribute to balanced economic and social development of Cambodia.

Chang Xingwen said in an exclusive interview with Xinhua, the planning of highway construction in Cambodia played an overall guidance role in the order. Planning also enabled the Cambodian regulators further clarified the direction of the highway for some time to come, the Cambodian parties to better understand and recognize China's highway construction, operation modes. Furthermore, the plan also helps to promote the development of highway construction in the region.

It is learnt that at present there are no highways in Cambodia, the planned freeway project about 2230 km total length.

　　新华网金边5月27日电 (记者王其冰 李弘)中国河南省交通规划勘察设计研究院有限责任公司27日在柬埔寨首都金边向柬方递交了《柬埔寨高速公路发展总体规划报告》。

　　柬埔寨公共工程与运输大臣德兰尤德、河南省交通规划勘察设计院有限责任公司董事长常兴文、河南省交通运输厅总工程师李强、及中国驻柬使馆商务处官员和柬埔寨相关官员等200余人共同出席了此次交接仪式。

　　在当天举行的交接仪式上，李强表示，河南省交通运输厅将一如既往地继续支持与柬埔寨在交通建设方面的技术合作，同时也支持有实力的河南省企业积极参与柬埔寨的公路交通建设。

　　常兴文说，柬埔寨目前已进入经济快速发展阶段，对交通基础设施建设水平有更高的要求和期盼，这一规划报告将有效推动和指导高速公路建设，对柬埔寨经济社会发展产生积极而长远影响。

　　德兰尤德对中方相关方面为柬埔寨完成高速公路发展总体规划表示感谢。他说，建设高速公路既可进一步促进柬埔寨经济发展，融入区域一体化，也可使柬埔寨连通与泰国和越南的高速公路网，将有利于柬埔寨经济社会平衡发展。

　　常兴文接受新华社记者专访时表示，这项规划对柬埔寨高速公路的建设顺序起到了整体指导作用。规划还使柬监管部门进一步明确了未来一段时间的高速公路工作方向，也使柬方进一步了解和认可中国高速公路的建设、运行模式。此外，此次规划还有助于推动区域内公路建设的发展。

　　据悉，目前柬埔寨境内尚无高速公路，此次规划高速公路项目总里程约2230公里。
