　　5月19日以来，江南、华南和西南地区东部出现强降雨过程，部分地区大到暴雨，局部地区大暴雨，并伴有雷暴、短时强降水、冰雹等强对流天气，引发洪涝、风雹、滑坡等灾害。

　　据国家减灾办统计，截至26日12时，福建、江西、湖南、广东、广西、重庆、四川、贵州、云南9省份有551.3万人不同程度受灾，37人因灾死亡、6人失踪，44.7万人紧急转移安置，19.1万人需紧急生活救助，2.5万间房屋倒塌，5.2万间不同程度损坏，农作物受灾面积264.8千公顷，其中绝收28.4千公顷，直接经济损失73.5亿元。

　　因灾死亡及失踪的分布情况如下：广东因灾死亡17人、失踪3人，湖南因灾死亡7人、失踪3人，贵州因灾死亡4人，江西、广西因灾死亡各3人，重庆因灾死亡2人，广西因灾死亡1人。
