Google's Google I/O Developer Conference next month in the United States in San Francisco, according to the news, the search giant plans to release Android on TV. 谷歌Google I/O开发者大会下月将在美国旧金山举行，根据消息，这家搜索巨头计划在会上发布Android TV。据GigaOm报道，Android TV并非硬件设备，而是供电视、机顶盒制造商使用的软件平台。

Android TV被认为是专注于在线流媒体的电视机顶盒设备，类似于Netflix、Hulu以及亚马逊刚推出的Fire TV机顶盒设备。

在谷歌内部，Android TV界面也被称作“帕诺（Pano）”，最大的特色是简洁而流畅，简洁的操作界面是基于卡片设计的。Android TV系统，意味着用户可在开机后立即播放电视节目、电影或玩视频游戏。这意味着，不需要安装Netflix应用，只需选择想看的节目，就播放到心仪的剧集，大功告成。而利用传统的智能电视平台，需要额外安装Netflix应用。
