微软方面表示，29日晚间及30日早晨，微软小冰BETA版在部分微信聊天群对话中出现了“无应答”、“答非所问”、“重复回答”等现象和故障。造成该故障的原因是：小冰上线首日的对话量激增，大大超过预估；同时，部分小冰被腾讯微信系统误判为SPAM账号(垃圾信息)。微软的数据显示，29日晚间12点及30日早间9点前后，由于用户生活起居和上班出行习惯，同时与小冰聊天的微信用户超过百万人，造成拥堵。

就这一问题，微软向用户表示歉意，并表示正紧急组织工程师解决，保证会在短时间内解决。而对于因此造成部分用户对话过程中的故障，微软也会在近期推出补偿措施。

此外，微软还表示，原计划为一个月公测周期准备的10万个小冰账号，已于上线首日被抢注一空。微软已启动账号排队机制，根据用户顺序按批次发放新的小冰账号。
