据德宏州防震减灾局报告，初步统计，地震已造成5人重伤，17人轻伤，有关灾情正在进一步统计核实。
盈江县属人口较稀疏区，整体经济水平较低，农村房屋以砖混土木结构为主，傣族木楼抗震性好。
