据济南市历城区公安分局民警介绍，31日12时20分，历城区公安分局指挥中心接民众报警称，王舍人办事处万象新天小区北区建筑工地着火，火势很大。民警迅速赶赴现场，12时55分许火被扑灭，事故未造成人员伤亡。据警方了解，事故系工人防水作业用的焊枪因温度过高发生爆炸，引起外墙保温材料着火，过火面积100余平方米，财产损失正在进一步统计中。
另据当地媒体报道，31日中午12点多，几声巨大的爆炸从济南市工业北路万象新天北区二期在建工地传出，爆炸引燃的大火席卷两座在建楼房的保温层，黑色浓烟高达二三十层楼，五辆消防车前去灭火。目击者介绍，当时工人们正吃午饭休息，所以没有人员伤亡。(完)
