　　据桂林市警方通报，5月31日12时左右，桂林市汽车总站发生一起持刀砍人事件。警方接到报警后，正在车站巡逻的桂林市公安局特警一分钟内赶到现场，发现一女子正在持刀挥舞追砍3名过往群众。警方经鸣枪示警无效后果断开枪，击中嫌疑人小腿并将其制服，被追砍3名群众无人受伤。

　　警方现已查明，嫌疑人巫某(女)，系桂林市荔浦县人，1987年3月出生，其亲属反映巫某曾有精神病史，巫某迅速被送往医院救治。经医院检查诊断，已确认嫌疑人患有精神病。目前，警方正对相关情况进一步开展调查。

　　桂林汽车站位于桂林市中山南路，附近是桂林火车站，是桂林闹市区人流密度较大的地段之一，每天大量市民和中外游客从这里经过，赶路搭车，旅游购物。
